4 Reasons dance makes a great form of exercise

If you’re looking for a form of exercise that doesn’t involve boring treadmills or resistance bands, then dance may be the perfect answer for you.

There are few people in this world that can resist the temptation to start tapping their feet the minute that a good song comes on. Whether it’s the catchy melody or the rhythm, music speaks to your heart and, in turn, to your body the way that nothing else quite can.   

Beyond feeling emotionally good when we dance, dance also has the power to transform our bodies. If you’re looking for a form of exercise that doesn’t involve boring treadmills or resistance bands, then dance may be the perfect answer for you.

It’s a Great Form Of Cardio 

When you dance, it’s possible to get your heart rate up to the same amount it would be if you were on a run. Only, while dancing, most people can agree, you’re having so much fun that you hardly notice you’re working! 

Professional dancers who are on the dance floor for hours a week have some of the most chiseled bodies out there. The reason? When you’re dancing, your heart is beating considerably fast, making your body that much more capable of burning fat.

It Works Your Core 

Perhaps you’ve heard exercise experts talk about “working the core” before, and you wondered what they were talking about. The core is more than just the last part of an apple. Your core is the center of your balance and strength in your body.

Dance is modifiable and, therefore, appropriate for people of all levels of fitness. Your body can move as softly as it needs to, to complete the movements, making it a great choice for people who need a low impact exercise in their life.

Dancing doesn’t just affect your body, but it has the power to boost your brain as well! When you’re required to memorize steps as well as synchronize different parts of your body, your cognitive performance is at work. The parts of your brain that control memory are exercised on top of your muscles. As a result, you’ll keep your brain active and young at any age.

We believe that just because one is popular, doesn't mean it merits that popularity. There are many at the fringes also meriting attention, though do not have the means to means/know-how to be so. And so here we are, celebrating everything... artistic life from the fringes.
